Carrie Wissler-Thomas, President

Carrie holds her BA in Fine Art from Hood College and her Master's Degree from Temple University.  Prior to employment as President of the Art Association in 1986, she was a freelance artist, instructor, and art writer.  She has held many solo exhibitions of her own oil paintings, and has participated in numerous group and invitational shows.  View her work at www.wisslerthomas.com.

 

Rachel O'Connor, Curator

Rachel O’Connor is a curator, educator and art historian. She began her collegiate career with a background in studio art before changing to an art history major. It is O’Connor’s love for artists, their practices, and her insatiable curiosity over the various ways in which art reflects humanity that propelled her into the study of art history, with a specific concentration in post-WWII and contemporary art. O’Connor attended Messiah College for her undergraduate studies, and Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) for graduate school. She is currently the AAH Curator, where she focuses on bringing professional, cutting edge, and socially relevant exhibitions to the Greater Harrisburg Area. She is also an adjunct instructor at Messiah College where she teaches Art History Survey I & II.

  

Tammy Parson, Office Administrator

Serving as our receptionist, book-keeper, and person in charge of our member and student database, Tammy Parson is the newest member of the AAH family.  Before joining us in December 2016, Tammy managed her own business for 20 years and accumulated a wealth of organizational experience for her new  position.  Among her many and varied interests, Tammy enjoys antique collecting, decorating, hiking and exploring, and spending time with her four grandchildren and beloved Shelties.

  

Bryan Molloy, Gallery Assistant

Bryan Molloy was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1974.  He's been drawing and painting since childhood, working in a representational style with a Bostonian Impressionistic influence.  In 1999, Bryan graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art with a BFA in illustration.  Bryan serves as Gallery Assistant on weekday evenings.

 

Nate Foster, Gallery Assistant

The newest member of the AAH family, Nate Foster recently moved to the Harrisburg area from Raleigh, North Carolina.  Nate is an artist with a design degree who teaches occasional classes for AAH in Illustration in addition to serving as Gallery Assistant on Saturdays.

 

Randy Miller III, Website Administrator & Gallery Assistant

Randy Miller attended Harrisburg Arts Magnet School from 1993-1996 studying fine arts and illustration. He earned a degree in Graphic Design in 2000 and taught Cartooning classes at AAH from 1999-2010.  Randy has maintained the AAH website since 2002 and also serves as Gallery Assistant on Sunday afternoons, so stop by and say hi!  (Or if you can't make it in, please send any comments or suggestions about the website via e-mail.)
